Looking for an exciting and rewarding way for your children to spend their summer? Look no further! Our Summer Readathon at the library is the perfect opportunity for your kids to embark on a reading adventure and discover new worlds between the pages of their favourite books. This readathon will also include Create your own Comic workshop! We will kick off our readathon with an Orientation Session and a precursor to the Create your own Comic workshop on 08 July. The workshop will be held on 12 August to mark the end of the readathon, where children will be able to talk about the books they have read as well. The very talented illustrator, Maryam Akram provide us with her excellent guidance during this workshop. At the orientation session we will share some guidelines for the readathon and give all participants a list of suggested books and materials. Members will be able to borrow books from the library and non-members can read from their very own collection. Readathon Dates: Saturday, 08 July to Saturday 12 August 2023 Orientation Date: Saturday, 08 July, 3 to 5 PM Create your own comic and closing date: Saturday, 12 August, 3 to 5 PM The charges for the complete readathon are PKR 1000 and the charges for the Create your own Comic Book workshop are PKR 400. This is appropriate for children aged 5 to 14. You can register for the entire readathon or for the Create your own Comic workshop separately as well. Please note that prior registration is mandatory for every session.
